JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Assistant Coach (Non-NCAA) for Mens and Womens Ruby will aide in the instruction and management of an intercollegiate sports team that is not affiliated with the NCAA; helps mentor students to foster athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth; assists with purchasing/inventory of equipment; coordinates visiting team requests; compiles and maintain statistical information; assists with team travel; supports promotion and fundraising efforts.
Assist the Head Coach in directing, planning, and leading sport practices, training sessions, competitions, and events; observe player skills and provide instruction for new techniques.
Assist with the mentoring of student athletes to foster athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth; assist Head Coach in establishing and enforcing rules of conduct and team policies.
Implement strength and skill training methods to build player capabilities.
Facilitate player cooperation through team enhancement activities.
Gather, prepare, and present scouting materials.
Assist with the compilation and maintenance of statistical information.
Ensure compliance with University policies and regulations.
Collaborate with other coaches to coordinate team logistics including travel, fundraising, promotion, and community outreach.
Assist with former athlete and alumni relations.
When required, represent Head Coach at events.
May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management.

Typically requires a Bachelors degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Due to the financial and fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will be required. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid drivers license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$35,600.00 – $500,000.00
