DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Installation Firefighter, you will be responsible for performing structural, aircraft, and wildland firefighting. You will also conduct fire prevention inspections of buildings and aircraft, and inspections of fire protection systems. Additional duties include performing standby fire watches at hazardous operations in buildings and aircrafts, as well as standing watch at alarm-receiving equipment, emergency medical services, and participating in various training programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, Sunday to Saturday, with 30-minute lunch.
You work 24 hours on duty, then 72 hours off duty
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:
Three years of firefighting experience as a member of a municipal or governmental fire department and possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Special Requirements:
All positions require possession of an active non-commercial class C Pennsylvania drivers license or equivalent.
All positions require possession of an active Firefighter II certification and an Airport Firefighter certification from an organization accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications.
All positions require possession of an active Hazardous Materials Operations certification and an active Hazardous Materials Awareness certification.
All positions must initially and annually be medically certified as meeting the medical requirements of the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 1582, Comprehensive Occupational Medical Program for Fire Departments.
This position requires possession of an active emergency medical technician (EMT) certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
You must be able to successfully pass a background check to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance for access to restricted areas or federal computer networks.
All employees must obtain within one year of hire and maintain an active class B Pennsylvania commercial drivers license or an active certificate of authorization to operate fire emergency vehicles issued by the Fire Chief of the hiring fire station.
All employees must obtain within one year of hire and maintain active Driver/Operator Pumper, Driver/Operator Aerial, Driver/Operator Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) certificates from an organization accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications.#CWOPA
Additional Requirements:
You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
You m st be willing and able to work in Annville, PA (Lebanon, County).
Possession of an active Firefighter 1 certification from an organization accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications.
