Special Education Assistant

Perform a wide variety of duties in support of student(s) individualized education programs in both

special and regular education settings as directed and supervised by a professional staff member.

Must work as a team member and exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Candidates must have patience and enjoy working with children. All other duties as assigned. Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD. If student toileting is required, additional $1.25 per hour will be added to base pay.
