WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises all part-time staff/supervisors, including but not limited to: Department Managers, Receptionist, Security, Guest Experience, and Ushers/Ticket Takers
Oversees the new hire recruitment and onboarding of staff using the application Workday and ensures that all employee data is managed properly
Actively manage all aspects of special events
Manages VIP Events related to shows
Develops and oversees overhead expense budget for house departments, creates Flash reports for each show
Assists, in coordination with the general manager, in preparation of the annual operations budget
Maintains and monitors records of all incident reports and workers comp claims- investigates and manages all pending cases, including interviewing staff and attending arbitration hearings as necessary
Ensure all departments are adequately staffed for every event (comparative to budgets and for each event type).
Monitor and manage payroll every week, accurately submit all hours worked for team members into the payroll system for timely processing
Oversee the issuing of all venue credentials, business card orders, invoices, etc.
Ensure record keeping and proper filling of; Pre-Event Inspection Reports, Event-Related Incident Reports, Workman Comp/General Liability Claims
Assists in the yearly permitting process for the venue
Oversee the ordering, fulfillment, and delivery of all venue gear and uniforms
In conjunction with all management and other personnel works to provide a safe and enjoyable facility for guests and employees including all Service Culture training; manages any guest resolution necessary
Ensure optimum operating condition of all amphitheater equipment
Implementation and execution of all Live Nation policies, procedures, and programs
Reviews advances in technology about crowd and traffic control techniques and devices and makes recommendations to management
Develop and implement a recruiting program for seasonal event staff and other seasonal positions
Development and maintenance of municipality relationships including police, fire, rescue, traffic, and other departments
Coordinate and manage subcontractors and third-party vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and successful events
Coordinate with Regional Facilities Manager to develop long-term preventive maintenance programs, capital expenditure programs, and other asset protection and improvement programs
Other duties as may be assigned
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Candidate is a proven leader with strong management and communications skills
Extensive knowledge of venue operations and facility management is required
Minimum two years experience as House/Operations Manager or a comparable role
Experience dealing with police and public officials
Along with venue, the General Manager represents the company and facility in all political and community matters and acts as a liaison with local municipalities
Must have demonstrated experience managing multiple departments with a large number of staff- ideally experience managing Security, Ticket Takers and Ushers
Previous experience with labor union contracts and management required
Computers skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
Experience using Workday or timekeeping systems is a plus
