Summary This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Fort Meade, Maryland . Responsibilities Assist the Chief of Staff to synchronize, organize, and direct all staff functions supporting over 8,700 military and civilian personnel including 33 SES and 5 Flag/General Officers, a $11 billion annual budget, and 31 field activities worldwide. Represent the Chief of Staff in meetings with senior management in DISA, DoD, Joint Staff, and other federal and non-federal agencies. Principal interface between the Director/Deputy Director, DISA and the staff, DoD CIO and JFHQ-DODIN managing the day-to-day administrative operations of DISA. Develop policies to facilitate DISA staff coordination with OSD, Joint Staff, DoD, Combatant Commands, and the Services. Create business processes that support the mission of the Agency and streamline the synchronization of actions and all aspects of the Agency. Perform supervisory duties directing a highly skilled and diverse workforce and oversee all of the special advisors to the Director. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Time in Grade Requirement: For entry at the GS-15 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-14 or higher grade in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-14 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience directing and managing organizational administrative programs responsible for regulatory, administrative, policy development, and operational support; and experience in conducting executive level briefings. Candidates must describe how their experience meets the specialized experience requirement within the body of their resume.In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicants background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Education Additional Information Security Clearance Required: Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information. This position requires the incumbent to travel away from their normal duty station to other locations within the continental United States (CONUS) and/or other locations outside the continental United States (OCONUS) up to 10 percent of the time. Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination. This position is subject to completion of 1 year probationary period for assignment to a supervisory position.
