About the Position: This Lead IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/SYSADMIN) position is located in Office of the G-6, Operations Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Responsibilities Resolves the complete range of problems within the scope of the IT service and refers problems requiring highly specialized expertise to the appropriate IT specialty office within the CECOM CIO/G6 organization. Provides customer support in a manner that minimizes interruption, to carry out critical business activities and mission functions. Organizes vendor demonstration sessions for other IT Specialists within the CIO/G6 organization. Evaluates the impact of new guidance on current programs. Researches the latest in computer technology to remain current on process and procedures of software. Acts in leadership role for team by assigning, overseeing and reviewing the work of the team and assuring the teams workload is balanced across all team members and all members skills are integrated into the team. My specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail; Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience which includes: (1) includes experience troubleshooting problems in computer software and hardware configurations systems (2) evaluating computer systems to developing long range plans for improving life cycle processes and recommending process improvements; (3) Leading a project or team to ensure project goals are met. This experience must be equivalent to the NH-02 pay band or GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
