Assembler / Technician

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
– Assemble batteries and electrical assemblies in accordance with approved design data to include procedures, drawings, and schematics.
– Perform in-process and final testing of both electronic assemblies and batteries.
– Have the ability to identify and expose safety hazards that may not be present to the casual observer.
– Perform work with a high degree placed on safety.
– Assist with troubleshooting and reworking batteries or assemblies.
– Maintain good housekeeping standards that comply with Safts World Class program.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
– Proven ability to become certified in J-STD-001, IPC 610 and IPC 620.
– Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings and process specifications.
– Ability to operate various hand-tools and numerous other manufacturing and test equipment.
– Good interpersonal and organizational skills with emphasis on paying attention to details.
– Works as a part of a team.
– Able to adapt quickly to new methods and techniques.
– Understand and consistently perform work in a manner that meets the requirements of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
– Able to learn quickly
Working Conditions
– Dry room atmosphere low humidity, air conditioned
– Safety glasses required
– Standing 50%
