Certified Athletic Trainer – Norfolk, Virginia
Job Description
Performs appropriate patient intake to determine medical history, chief complaint, and risk factors.
Develops and implements injury and illness prevention strategies for athletes and the physically active.
Manages the needs of the patient based on the examination, diagnosis, prognosis, goals, and outcomes of the planned interventions for identified impairments.
Applies splints, braces, or casts as appropriate, assesses for proper fit and support, and educates patient/parent on appropriate wear, care, and signs/symptoms of concern.
Maintains clinic flow by directing support staff to ensure patient/parent satisfaction, patient safety, quality of care, and efficiency of clinic operations.
Hard Skills
Certification in Athletic Training (NATABOC)
Casting/splinting experience preferred
EMR experience is a plus
Must have at least 1 years of experience
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Norfolk, Virginia.
Work Environment
Working in a Sport Medicine Department – Pediatric Setting
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
