Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the Comptroller Department (N8) in the Accounting/Financial Execution (N82) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. Responsibilities You will review documents to determine signature authentication, correct processing codes, and may include operation of cash registers. You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will be answering requests and providing advice to employees, supervisors, staff in other financial management series and personnel specialists on pay related rules, regulations and procedures. You will communicate orally and in writing to obtain and provide information related to organizational, administrative and procedural matters. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with DoD or Navy financial systems and familiarity with the DoD FMR. Experience researching systems such as CHOOSE and EDA to resolve accounting transaction posting errors. Experience entering data into financial management systems and extracting data from these systems for export into Excel spreadsheets. Experience utilizing the Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
