Director of Nursing, RN

The Director of Nursing reports to the Administrator and is responsible for maintaining quality standards of nursing and coordinates nursing care with other disciplines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– Supervises overall quality of resident care.
– Works with other disciplines to ensure residents plan of care is implemented.
– Monitors and audits medical records to maintain state and federal regulations.
– Monitors and maintains systems for regulation compliance.
– Supervises nursing staff ratios to ensure quality of care.
– Monitors equipment and supply usage to meet resident needs.
– Assumes on call duties.
– Attends and participates in committees as assigned.
– Complies with all established policies and procedures.
– Promotes and demonstrates positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers,residents and visitors.
– Performs other delegated duties.
