Position Summary: Care for pain management patients for follow ups, New Evaluations, pre and post procedures, and procedures. Documentation for such patients including conscious sedation, cardiac monitoring, and Patient pre and post procedure pain scores. Operate special equipment and maintain radiation safety. Set up for procedures and medication management. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN), required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
Experience :
• Acute care and critical care experience, preferred.
• Cardiac monitoring experience, preferred.
License/Certification :
• Current and in good standing RN Licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing.
• American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the TH Organizational Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date (exceptions to obtain certification from a provider other than the TH Organizational Development Office are approved by TH Organizational Development on a case by case basis). BLS Recertification is required every two (2) years.
• ACLS, required. (Please note RN must be ACLS to push IV Fentanyl – this med is ordered for conscious sedation)
Skills :
• Ability to works with patients, families, physicians and other health care providers with a high level of customer service orientation, required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; frequently to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 15 to 20 pounds of force occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or 5 to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
