Position Summary

The Lead Director for Strategic Programs will play a critical role as part of the leadership team, spearheading transformative initiatives with a focus on value creation throughout the enterprise to elevate our operational effectiveness. This leader will direct the development of Excellence & Innovation value creation and strategy execution plans, partnering with enterprise shared service teams and business units to identify and execute on these programs.

Responsibilities

Oversee planning and execution of multiple projects, ensuring they deliver value and meet deadlines.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.

Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners to ensure they align with service delivery goals and contribute to overall client satisfaction.

Monitor KPIs and service performance metrics. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management and clients highlighting successes, areas for improvement and strategic recommendations. Provide guidance on corrective actions as necessary.

Lead resolution efforts for critical issues and escalations, coordinating resources across teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies across projects, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.

Implement process improvements to drive efficiency, quality and performance.

Recruit, train, mentor, coach and develop collaborative leaders across the organization that will identify, prioritize, and execute value creation and/or strategy execution projects to create an exceptional return on investment.

Qualifications

Experienced In:

10 years of relevant professional experience

Strong domain knowledge of accounting, finance or finance ops (e.g., revenue cycle) in a healthcare environment, such as medical and Rx billing, collection, and cash operation.

Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complex processes

Prior consulting experience in a similar role is highly preferred

Skilled In:

Problem solver with strong analytical and quantitative orientation

Proactive, planful, and result-driven with highest level of attention to detail

Effective communicator with strong verbal and written presentation abilities

Strong meeting facilitator with ability to drove consensus across competing point of views

Understand the big picture and influence stakeholder, team members, peers towards the right outcomes

Communicate effectively in a manner that is clear, logical, and consistent both verbally and written

Prepare materials and presentations with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, anticipate potential issues early and adjust priorities as needed to meet engagement outcomes.

Education

Bachelors Degree Required and or equivalent relevant experience

Masters Preferred

Other Certification(s) Preferred:

Six Sigma Black Belt

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Technical & analytical tools (Alteryx, Automation Anywhere, Power BI etc.)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 – $231,540.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
