Facilities Lead

Job Summary: The Facility lead will provide general mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC skills required to perform daily facility tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to PMs, work orders, and facility projects. Will require working with on-site equipment and vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
1. Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes random testing
2. Must have good vision (may be corrected)
3. Must not be color blind
4. Must have no known hearing loss
5. Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
6. Must be able to endure sunshine and weather extremes
7. Must be able to endure fumes that are within OSHA accepted standards
8. Must have stamina to work more than the scheduled workday when needed; including nights and weekends
9. Manual dexterity
10. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (
Knowledge and Skills:
1.) Able to identify energy sources on equipment and use lockout tagout to properly isolate equipment.
2.) Able to coordinate with safety department to obtain green tag when necessary.
3.) Able to identify when a hot-work permit is needed and coordinate with safety department to obtain a permit.
4.) Able to use maintenance CMMS system to properly create, document and close out work orders. This includes entering asset, time and description of work completed.
5.) Able to use maintenance CMMS system to access PM documentation and close out PM work orders with properly documented time and notes.
6.) Able to assess a job and identify the proper tools necessary to complete the job.
7.) Able to procure material as needed for project work.
8.) Able to troubleshoot basic HVAC and plumbing issues.
9.) Able to perform advanced HVAC tasks including freon (once licensed).
10.) Able to install new fixtures as necessary (plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.)
11.) Must understand mechanical concepts and be able to assist maintenance mechanics.
12.) Ability to assess plant condition and complete unassigned tasks as needed.
13.) Ability to manage contractor work on occasion.
14.) Able to attend meetings if required.
15.) Able to resolve issues on their own with no supervision.
16.) Have a safe work record.
17.) Able to operate forklift and pass onsite forklift training.
18.) Able to assist on PMs and Parts changing as needed.
19.) Able to adequately complete plant PMs as necessary.
20.) Able to follow all plant safety policy and have a safe work record.
21.) Have good interpersonal skills.
22.) Ability to supervise Facility employees and manage PM distribution.
23.) Ability to perform audits on facility PM and work orders.
24.) Able to perform other duties as assigned.
