PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) works in support of the Department of State to provide medical support services. The primary scope of this program is to execute medical support services at the United States Embassy and adjacent facilities in the Middle East.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Medical Services Director works with general autonomy and manages significant government services project(s) within the scope of general financial/administrative functions, program guidelines set by the Program Manager, and providing medical leadership and expertise to all projects
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and manages the daily activities of the organizations operations and international contracts. Executes company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Reviews and improves existing operational systems while developing new strategic plans
Must be experienced in the best principles and practices or modern health care management
Tracks performance in relation to operational objectives and creates reporting and auditing systems to assess operational efficiency.
Collaborates and partners with other departments such as business development teams and medical services teams to ensure smooth coordination of operations and promote new business agendas.
Contributes to strategic decision-making impacting the area of responsibility.
Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts.
Oversees patient care standards at all sites and for all clinicians within the assigned programs, ensuring that medical staff deliver the highest quality of medical care and that all policies and procedures are in place and correct.
Handles escalated issues arising from operations, working in conjunction with other departments when necessary.
Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
Responsible for maintaining quality standard of procedures that go into work scope.
Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members.
Participates in the development of functional strategies and medical services for new projects and proposals and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Use of Land Mobile Radios, cell phones, laptop, and other devices to maintain contact and accountability of work activities.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Physical requirements include lifting up to 35lb, team lifting up to 50lbs, climbing, extended sitting, or standing, stooping, stretching, and bending.
Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as, hearing and eye protection,
Day-to-day physical requirements may involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs. frequently, etc.
Work requires moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas and walking up stairs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U. S. Drivers License.
Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and/or 9 years of experience
Experienced in Healthcare Management, overseeing day-to-day operations of large medical facilities and projects with preferred experience within government contracts environment serving the DoD and/or DoS
Must meet KBR and Government mandated pre‐ deployment requirements including, but not limited to drug screening, medical screening, dental release, and criminal background check.
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 13 months of remaining validity AND 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
Candidates must also meet CENTCOM MOD (Fit for Duty) theater requirements.
