Collision Body Repair Technician

OJT JOB ORDER ONLY!!!!
Will use a computer to enter data and open and maintain repair records. Maintains complete work records. Uses common hand tools and shop equipment to install and repair vehicles. Assist with appraising vehicle accident damage including determining the extent and nature of damage and the most economical and efficient repair method. Train to do a complete teardown of the damaged vehicle to order parts. Up-fit vehicles post-delivery to make vehicles ready for use; inspect new equipment and the work performed. Set up and maintain vehicle records and the status of the repair. Assist with the creation of insurance supplements for the repair. Assist with soliciting estimates and coordinate accident repairs. Write and collect estimates for customers outside vendors; prepare accident packets. Evaluate accident repairs; perform paint and body work; coordinate the disposal of totaled vehicles. Match and mix paints; remove all dents; straighten all bent and damaged body panels.
