Lockheed Martin’s SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to join the SOF GLSS team in Lexington, KY. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Technical Services Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Technical Analyst on a six-person Scrum team
• Collaborates with product manager, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
• Reproduces and troubleshoots issues, identifies code inefficiencies, and performs necessary re-testing
• Thoroughly tests application code down to the user level in a Quality Assurance environment prior to code being packaged and released to Production for users
• Works closely with onsite customers within various business departments with the Supply Support Activity and Life Cycle Sustainment Manager (LCSM) shops to understand their business needs and help to cultivate process improvements and enhancements within the application
• Assists with identifying and creating product backlog items, bugs, user stories, and acceptance criteria within the software development management tool
• Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process and within the business processes of the organization
• Participates in Agile meetings/events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Contributes to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
• Provides program management support to the organization for review, analysis, control and presentation services, products
• Represents the organization during the development of software systems designed to automate and manage core business processes for optimal performance
• Works with Logistics/Sustainment automation analysts and developers to standardize data naming conventions and naming protocols in order to establish and maintain an enterprise supporting data dictionary
• Coordinates with other enterprise representatives with the goal of establishing a procedural document that informs how to establish data sharing relationships between organizations
• Reviews and analyzes customer requirements and works with government lead multi-functional development teams to accurately represent the needs of the organization
• Provides recommendations for improvement during the planning phase of every logistics automation initiative
• Attends IPRs, IPTs, Working Groups, and meetings pertaining to assigned projects
• Coordinates and conducts technical analyses and evaluation of efforts on a continuous basis
• Identifies deficiencies and inefficiencies and provides recommendations in the form of briefings and reports
• May assist with user training in some cases, updates/creates User Guides, and performs other duties, as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
⦁ Extensive Logistics Management experience with exposure to multiple Logistics Information Automation Systems
with DoD Inventory Management Systems, Army Property management procedures, and various Defense Logistics Agency programs
⦁ Ability to effectively work with internal and external customers to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and make recommendations for functionality to support the Supply Support Activity (SSA) Warehouse Property Accountability Management system.
⦁ Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (i.e. Jira, Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS), etc.)
⦁ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
⦁ Excellent effective communication and collaboration skills
⦁ Detail-orientated with demonstrated analytical and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
⦁ Strong written and oral communication skills
⦁ Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others, as well as independently
⦁ Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with competing priorities
⦁ Bachelors degree in a related field required.
⦁ SECRET clearance required.
Desired Skills:
⦁ Automation program management experience with some exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions
⦁ Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD Supplement (DFAR)
⦁ Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
⦁ Effective Communication and collaboration skills
⦁ Previous experience with working in a SSA and Stock Record Account, to include possessing intimate knowledge of the processes and procedures preferred
⦁ Working knowledge of Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR)
⦁ Working knowledge of Enterprise Business Systems Convergence (EBS-C)
⦁ User Experience/User Design experience is a plus
⦁ Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development
⦁ Self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
