Job Title:                Storeroom Clerk

Classification:       Non-Exempt

Department:         Maintenance

Reports to:            Maintenance Manager

Purpose:

The overall view is to maintain the correct levels of inventory to meet the needs of production and maintenance day-to-day operations, keeping the inventory value as low as possible, correct turnover of inventory and repairing of items instead of buying new.

General Duties:

Maintain accurate inventory for the Maintenance department

Preform inventory counts as needed

Update inventory parts information

Work with vendors on getting better pricing

Drive forklifts to pick up stock or to deliver to designated locations

Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves

Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors

Store items in an orderly and accessible manner

Maintain good safe working practices.

Organize and maintain work areas for a good 5S.

Perform all duties necessary in creating an efficient, effective, and affordable maintenance department.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED Equivalency

Good communication skills, ability to read, write and communicate verbally

Able to accurately use basic math
