The Key Account Manager is tasked with building collaborative partnerships with key accounts and developing sales within the assigned geography for Life Sciences Industrial & Consumer Solutions business. Will manage an existing customer portfolio, identify new target accounts and establish a detailed sales plan.

The Key Account Manager is responsible for growth, profitability and customer satisfaction with these accounts. Will set the strategy, map their footprint and application development pipeline, identifying opportunities and assembling the appropriate support team.

Will add the necessary inputs for sales and operations planning, and assign the relevant interlocutors in product development, technical services or quality/regulatory to address key accounts’ requests.

Key Accountabilities:

Establish strategic plan for key accounts in portfolio. This plan will cover a minimum of 5 years and include a detailed analysis of the customers’ own industrial footprint as well as product development pipeline, and how this translates in sales, co-development opportunities, capacity demand and Quality/Regulatory/Validation requirements for Saint-Gobain. This plan will further be translated into detailed action plans for field sales, operations and other business functions as applicable. Input and approval from the Director of Global Sales and the Business Unit Manager is required.

Manage territory to meet/exceed business goals and objectives in terms of gross sales, margins and new customer acquisition. Maximize annual sales budgets for designated accounts and act as liaison between field sales, customers and manufacturing. Manage sales activities according to a solutions-selling and disciplined process. Develop strong relationship at target accounts, provide application knowledge and industry expertise. Identify commercial opportunities for new customers and/or new products and manage leads. Work with manufacturing operations to provide accurate and timely information regarding customer demand to support sales and service objectives. Provide periodic forecasts used to anticipate overall sales performance. Support customer service & quality department to meet customers’ satisfaction.

Track and follow up LVO’s. Identify regional expansion as well cross-sales and up-sales opportunities. Manage projects from the initial request up to mass production.. Translate product business requirements into functional specifications. Work closely with Engineering, quality & supply chain for the implementation of the projects.

Work closely with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, marketing, and R&D to progress new product development/process development and opportunities to the point of commercial viability. Drive effective communication with prospective customers, cross-functional teams, operational sites, and SBU management.

Bachelors Degree – Engineering, Business Management, Sales/Marketing; Required.

Masters Degree – Business Management (Or Related Field); Preferred.

5 years of B2B Sales & Business Development Experience within a Regulated Industry, Required.

Able to travel upwards of 50%; Required.–

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $99,900 to $154,800 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 20% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $119,880 to $185,760 Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
