Grounds Senior Technician

The Grounds Senior Technician, working under general supervision, is responsible to maintain the turf and landscape by performing assigned grounds/course tasks and operates, calibrates, and troubleshoots a range of equipment and tools including mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, string line trimmers, blowers, sweepers, and specialized grounds equipment. Provides oversight and support of daily operations including the direction for other grounds technicians. The role performs duties with regards to maintaining the campus grounds and/or golf course and country club grounds. The role also conducts training and shares knowledge on proper procedures, equipment usage, daily operations, and the company safety compliance.
Maintains the turf and landscape by performing assigned grounds/course tasks and operates, calibrates, and troubleshoots a range of equipment and tools including mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, string line trimmers, blowers, sweepers, and specialized grounds equipment.
Provides oversight and support of daily operations including the direction for other grounds technicians.
Applies fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, algaecides, and insecticides and documents and records pesticide applications according to standards.
Performs tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, and repair of drainage and irrigation systems and programs and monitors irrigation systems to optimize plant care and meet department standards.
Maintains and repairs ground care equipment and operates heavy equipment such as loaders, trenchers, and skid steers.
Conducts training and shares knowledge on proper procedures, equipment usage, daily operations, and the company safety compliance.
Maintains the companys high standards of quality, production, cooperation, and service for employees, guests, and customers.
2-5 years of experience in Landscape and Turf Management, or a related field.
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.
