Mason, Milford, Gratis

Responsibilities:

The Residential Assistant (RA) operates under the supervision and at the direction of the Residential Coordinator (RC). Job responsibilities include but, are not limited to;

– Monitor compliance of established policies/procedures of local, state, federal rules and regulations and agency policy/procedures in the day-to-day operation of the home environment.
– Familiarize oneself with all aspects of home operations
– Establish and oversee task assignment list, in-service and supervision of DSP staff as related to the overall operation and efficiency of the home.
– Assist with staff development, supervise staff working directly with the individuals, follow up on delegated duties, counsel, guide and discipline staff as required.
– Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure accurate and timely reporting/documentation
– Be available as necessary to assist in the provision of direct care services as a DSP as needed.
– Assist in the maintenance of a physical, social, and psychological environment which will be conductive and in the best interests of the individuals being served.

Requirements:

– At least 1 year experience in the field working directly with DD/IID individuals – preferably in residential setting
– Exhibited leadership potential and ability to teach and supervise others.
– HS Diploma/GED
– Must have less than 6 points on current driving record and current vehicle insurance
– Able to pass extensive background check and pre-employment drug screen
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
