Summary You will serve as a Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Environmental Branch, Infrastructure Division, Corporate Operations Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13/14. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435). Responsibilities You will serve as the overall Hazardous Waste Program Manager for a large military installation with a diverse mission set and range of program activities. You will devise new ways to implement program requirements (e.g., promoting waste minimization by finding uses for chemicals that would otherwise have to be disposed of) and maximize contract services. You will develop criteria for automating hazardous waste tracking systems. You will resolve very unusual problems of hazardous waste disposal and management. You will provide technical direction to multiple support staff to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations and to improve hazardous waste program performance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: monitoring and ensuring environmental regulatory compliance is followed across operations to support mission objectives.
