Research Technologist I

### Position Summary
The Department of Microbiology, Genetics, & Immunology seeks a Research Technologist I to work in the laboratory of Dr. Wei Wang. The candidate should have experience working with mammalian cell culture, aseptic technique, immunological assays, vector cloning and live mouse handling. Experience performing data analysis and scientific writing are preferred. This is a limited term position funded for one year from date of hire with possible extension contingent on available funding.
### Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Biology or other related field; up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in basic research techniques in the specific or related field; word processing, spreadsheet; database and/or desktop publishing software; presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The job may require the appropriate pesticide applicators registration/certification and/or experience working with potentially dangerous research animals.
### Desired Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. degree in Biology or related field.
