Job Title: Machine Builder

Job Description

This position contributes to the manufacturing of quality blow molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and all sub-assemblies using power and hand tools, precision tools, and other required equipment.

Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety standards.

You will build or manufacture to drawing and bill of material, ensuring established production quality and quantity as scheduled.

You will assist with employee training, customer/vendor consultations, and maintenance/repair of building equipment.

Additional duties include preventative maintenance, good housekeeping, operating power equipment and material handling equipment, and submitting daily time accounting and payroll information.

You must have personal hand tools and the ability to use the mainframe computer.

Developing specifications from general descriptions and drawing sketches of parts or products to be manufactured is essential.

Skills

Proficient use of precision measuring equipment

Compliance with OSHA and MIOSHA safety standards

Ability to use power and hand tools

Operate power equipment and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.)

Ability to work with metric and inch system

Develop specifications and draw sketches

Effective communication for customer/vendor consultations

Team collaboration for resolving manufacturing problems

Assist with employee training

Good housekeeping practices

Timely reporting of shortages of parts, tools, and materials
