What You Will Achieve
Working with Pfizers dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in the management of manufacturing information systems to improve manufacturing success rates and ensuring zero down time.
As a Manager, PI Historian SME, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the larger Automation team.Your focus and ability to meet team targets and lead tasks and initiatives will help in completing critical projects. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams.
This position covers responsibilities for the Automation Systems team, focused on the architecture, project management, customer communications, and coordination of activities supporting the site Aveva/OSI PI process data historian.

How You Will Achieve It
Provide 24x7x365 support of the site historian that supports our automation and manufacturing systems
Improving the footprint of the PI data historian system, supporting both Capital and Expense projects to expand and maintain the system
Collaborating with the Infrastructure lead on strategy, methodologies, master planning and documentation of the PI data historian to align with industry best practices
Communicating and collaborating with operations and other automation colleagues for maintenance/patching/upgrade activities on critical PI servers and hardware
Coordinating configuration activities for tag additions, Asset Framework updates, and Vision dashboards
Building report templates to support expansion of electronic batch end reports
Working with Automation, Operations, and Corporate Engineering teams to advance Digital Plant of the Future initiatives focused on electronic batch records and electronic process execution
Creating/updating Technical Documents/Functional Specs and routing them through change control
Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers and management
Train and mentor site Automation, Operations, and Quality personnel on use of the PI data historian
Monitor and trend issues to identify and develop preventative solutions
Demonstrate good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills
Adhere to safe work practices
Qualifications
Must-Have:
Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and must have 10 years of relevant experience; OR an Associates degree with 8 years of experience; OR a Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a Masters degree with at least 3 years of experience
AVEVA/OSI PI Data Historian experience, including initial configuration and day-to-day maintenance of PI Data Archive, Asset Framework, Vision, Reports, and Notifications and Analytics
Experience with designing core architecture for PI data historians and migration of existing data historians (PI, Aspen, etc.) to a new PI system deployment
Project management experience, including large capital projects and small operational expense projects
Experience with writing software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents
Familiar with process controls equipment
Strong knowledge of computerized systems, compliance regulations, and industry standards
Teamwork spirit, good communication skills and training abilities
Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change
Nice-to-Have:
Pharmaceutical industry experience
Background in cGMP regulations
Understanding of Network/Server/Virtualization best practices
Understanding of software/document repositories/versioning
Understanding of programming, and proficiency in at least one language
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Office and plant environment.
Ability to perform continuous activities: keyboarding, lifting, standing, bending, walking.
Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, or Environment Requirements:
This role is standard day Monday through Friday work shift; some off-shift support weekend and off hours work required on occasion. Supporting 24/7 operation – on call coverage.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93500,00 to $155900,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12,5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
