Prince Telecom is hiring entry level Fiber Optic Technicians in West Des Moines, IA to join our team and help connect America!
Compensation: $18/hr
Job Type: Full-Time
What youll do…
Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone.
Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT’s, routers and switches.
Perform testing on company issued devices and customer devices.
Interface with customers to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
Complete paperwork accurately and report/record work order status updates.
Customer service duties such as:
Greet and interact with customers in a professional courteous manner including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns;
Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement.
Educate the customer regarding product and service usage.

Who we are looking for…
Minimum 18 years old
Valid standard drivers license required
Authorized to work in the United States for this company
High school diploma or equivalent
Comfortable working in tight spaces (crawl spaces, house attics, etc.)
Comfortable working through inclement weather
Comfortable using small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Effective communication skills
Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80lbs
