( 2nd Shift) Shift Leader – Durant IA

SFS Group USA, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift – Shift Leader to join our team in Durant, IA. You will be a key member of the manufacturing team and the go to for fellow employees on the shift.

Objectives

The ideal candidate for this role will actively support and represent the SFS Group USA- Division Construction team by being the responsible party for productivity, personnel concerns, and safety on 2nd shift. The Shift Leader will have detailed knowledge of assigned equipment and operates it with highest efficiency.

Principal duties

Initial point of contact for machine operators on 2nd shift

Oversee and escalate issues to the group leader and site leader; reporting any incidents during and after the shift is complete

Resolve personnel concerns and questions

Run assigned machines safely, productively, and efficiently

Lead with safety in all aspects of machinery operation

Inspect parts and follow SFS inspection processes for quality

Support predictive and preventative maintenance process

Prevents and detects potential quality problems by following the QES (Quality, Environmental, Safety) standards

Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)

Cleaning machinery, workstation, and other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate

High School Diploma or GED required, Associates degreed preferred.

6 months in previous leadership role.

Previous experience with SAP data entry preferred but not required.
