JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Under the direct supervision of the EMS Unit
Supervisor/EMS Coordinator provides education and training to all
disciplines of emergency care providers. Takes a leadership role in
course development through assessment, planning, implementation, and
evaluation of classroom, laboratory, clinical and on-line instruction.
Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrates
attributes of a professional educator: Self-motivated, effective
communicator, effective time manager, team player, organized,
knowledgeable, prepared, confident, respectful, student advocate.
Responsible for EMT, AEMT ,Paramedic and/or AHA Course development using
the guidelines and curriculum outlined by state ( Wisconsin Department
of Family Services and HFS 110) and/or the appropriate national agencies
(CoAEMSP, FEMA, American Heart Association, etc.). Demonstrates the
ability to provide quality instruction in all learning domains (
Cognitive, Psychomotor and Affective) Applies the principles of Adult
Learning to the classroom Demonstrates the ability to set clear and
obtainable goals and objective for course participants and then monitor
and evaluate student progress according to state, overseeing agency
and/or department criteria Engages the learner and provides well timed
and effective feedback Provides mentorship and/or supervision to the
novice instructor Instructs in the at least one of the American Heart
Association Classes (BLS, ACLS, PALS). Document, collect, maintain and
submit accurate class records Teach at varied time and places using
varied formats based on student demand: Day or evening, main campus,
mobile Sim lab or on site of students employment. Demonstrates
exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with students,
customers and Mercy Partners of all disciplines. Culture of Excellence
