Master Planner

About This Opportunity

Global Finishing Solutions is seeking a proactive, positive, and driven Master Planner. The Master Planner is responsible for reviewing and prioritizing departmental workloads through project approvals. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working cross functionally at all levels within an organization and have a track record of driving quality and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

Communicate with various departments to obtain appropriate inputs needed to maintain a master schedule that provides visibility from the order submittal phase through the installation/start-up phase.

Manage and update inputs to ensure resources are allocated appropriately to support master schedule accuracy and meet customer expectations.

Cross-functionally work with departments to identify constraints and improve throughput capacity.

Lead or participate in cross-functional meetings to identify and resolve issues that may impact customer delivery or expectations.

Work closely with finance to provide input of upcoming projects to create a financial forecast.

Provide recommendations for purchasing on inventory strategies by supplying a forecast of material for various product lines/models.

Provide sales with accurate lead time estimates on all phases of an order.

What You Have to Offer

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) is preferred

5-7 years of related experience or training in the areas of master planning, inventory control, productions scheduling, capacity management, material management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supply/demand planning experience is required

Team Player; ability to work cross functionally throughout the organization

Prior experience with ERP/MRP systems is required

APICS certification preferred

Prior supervisory experience is desired
