GRC/Data Governance Analyst

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This analyst role is a part of the Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) pillar of our clients global Information Security program. The GRC pillar is a crucial component to our client’s security capabilities and is focused on overseeing our clients cybersecurity framework, strategic alignment to business objectives, control implementation & risk mitigation, third-party risk management, information protection & governance strategies, and Cyber Safety awareness. This role provides an opportunity to influence our ongoing global security strategy and roadmap.

• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and principles.

• Manage and improve data quality across the organization.

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to establish and enforce data governance procedures.

• Ensure data governance initiatives align with compliance regulations and business requirements.

• Develop strategies to address data-related issues such as arbitrating data ownership.

• Monitor and report on the performance of data-related processes and compliance.

• Conduct regular updates to meet regulatory and internal policy requirements.

• Contribute to training and awareness programs to boost data governance understanding across the organization.

• Maintain a company-wide data dictionary and data lineage artifacts.

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on GRC and data analysis.

• Work with various departments to understand their needs related to GRC data and provide recommendations to meet those needs.

• Develop, implement, and maintain GRC data governance processes.

• Stay updated with the latest trends in GRC technology.

• Other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• A minimum of three to five years of IT or information security experience, with at least one year of security-related experience.

• Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proven experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance.

• CMMC, SOX, ISO27001 experience is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Visio.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).

• Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, various security software applications and tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Impeccable confidentiality, attention to detail, and self-organization.

• Self-directed and motivated with a positive and willing attitude.

• Knowledge of GRC software applications is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
