Fairview Range is hiring a Kitchen Assistant for Nutrition Services Department in Hibbing, MN.
As a Kitchen Assistant you will be responsible for duties in the role of Expediter, Hostess, and Dish Room. You will assist with patients, cafeteria, and special function meal service in accordance with established menus and departmental policy. This role requires attention to detail, passion for service, friendly and cheerful demeanor always.
Schedule: This position will be Casual, working 6-40 hours per pay period. Anticipated schedule will be 3:30pm -7:30pm and includes weekends as needed. May be opportunity to pick up more hours including dayshifts when openings are available.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Performing duties related to food production.
Keeping kitchen area clean and prioritizing to meet Health Department codes and to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment.
Demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care/service respective of their age.
Acquiring information, performing assessment, and developing and implementing effective plan of care to meet age specific needs of the age populations served.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in institutional food service.
High school education preferred.
Coursework in institutional food service helpful.
Demonstrates appropriate hand-washing skills for infection control.
Uses two patient identifiers when delivering food products to patients.
