Schedule is 5AM – 5:30PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Applicant would work 36 hours but get paid for 40 hours. Must be willing to train on 1st Shift Monday through Thursday 5:45AM – 4:15PM.Responsibilities:Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing or replacing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, including robotGeneral upkeep and maintenance of entire facilityDiagnosing and repairing or replacing faulty electronic and electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, position sensing devices, circuit boards, etc.Diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replacing damaged or broken wires or cablesWorking with others to test, troubleshoot, and diagnose malfunctions on electrical and mechanical equipment and machines and test operation following repairMaintaining and completing routine maintenance schedules on equipmentRepairing broken parts including setting up and operating metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinderReplacing electric motor bearings and rewiring motorsUnderstanding and following Lockout/ Tag out proceduresAssisting a certified contractor with planning and installing layout, wiring, conduit, electrical apparatus as needed, including power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipmentAssisting with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team, maintaining a clean work environment and offering suggestions for improvements, etc.Other duties as assignedTools Used: Hand, power and machine tools, clamps, jigs, computer, grinder, cutting torch, overhead hoists, forklift trucks, handcarts, measuring devices, etc.SafetyEquipment: Safety glasses, safety shoes with metatarsal guards, earplugs, face shield, goggles, gloves, dust masks, aprons, etc.Environment: Both office and production floor. Production floor is a heavy industrial atmosphere including exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards, grease, oil, heat, humidity, fumes/odors, mists, dust, sparks, occasionally cramped quarters and occasionally heightsJob Requirements:One-year formal education in plant/electrical maintenance or equivalent experience preferredMust pass math test and pass our forklift-training program and have a valid drivers license.Ability to read and interpret measuring devices, schematics, ladder diagrams, and electric symbols.Ability to work on concrete in a variety of positions including but not limited to kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, turning, and occasionally climbing.Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through occasional heavy physical exertion, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending. Using the overhead hoists requires ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs.Ability to determine and make equipment adjustments as needed, read complicated instructions, and perform computer data entry.Must be able to troubleshoot electrical problems independently. Must have experience working with electrical control panels and basic working knowledge of how electrical currents work and how to avoid injury.Must learn to be able to work on various machines and be able to rotate jobs to meet work schedule, team needs or to meet any safety recommendations.Must be a team player working with co-workers, other departments and/or other TBEI facilities.
