In this role, the Industrial Services Engineer will support, manage, and grow our key customers by implementing new technology or management tools. Examples of those activities will include: Lead the energy transition by developing customer adoption strategies for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and dynamic load management programs. Develop and implement tools for estimating and comparing costs of various customer scenarios, including: rates, billing impact, energy savings, rebates, return on investment, etc. Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers at three levels (Day-To-Day, Managerial, Executive) within a strategic customers organization. Collaborate with cross functional teams to create and communicate marketing programs, services, technologies, and energy rates. Serve as the primary point of contact for the customers, including during times of power quality and reliability challenges, to meet sales goals. Establish relationships and negotiate with potential strategic customers to establish new electric service agreements. Includes facilitating design, system implications and cost of service studies. Travel to assigned customer facilities [1-4] times per month to understand critical operations, Otter Tail s service delivery, impact of outages, load growth, reliability requirements and identify potential enhanced service solutions.
