DEPARTMENT: Great Falls Corps POSITION TITLE: Family Services Warehouse Worker STATUS: Part Time – 25 Hours Per Week

Position Summary
The Family Services Warehouse Worker will be responsible to support all daily functions of the Warehouse and surrounding property. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Essential Functions
Assist with the daily pick up of donations from local retailers.
Assist with the receiving and processing of food as directed by the Director of Social Services.
Work cooperatively with warehouse staff to maintain adequate stores of perishable and non-perishable food and supplies, providing reports and inventories as needed to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Assist with food box preparation, rotation and distribution.
Provide accurate documentation and timely reporting of all Gift-In-Kind Donations.
Assist with coordinating and receiving deliveries. Ensure the proper adherence of all required safety precautions.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the Social Services Warehouse and exterior property (including adjacent garden).
Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the Client Reception area, Staff and Client restrooms, Kitchen, Breakroom and other spaces as needed and requested by the Director of Social Services
Help to ensure refrigerator/freezer units are clean and in proper working order. Report malfunctions and necessary repairs to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Help to ensure all equipment (hand truck, forklift, scales, etc.) are in proper working order. Complete inspection before use and report damage / necessary repair to Warehouse Supervisor immediately.
Assist with the maintenance of vehicles and daily mileage logs, ensuring DOT compliance. Report needed repairs to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Assist with the training and supervision of volunteers and community service workers.
Assist with home visits and support community outreach events and distributions as directed.
Assist Warehouse Supervisor with the preparation and submission of reports and statistics.
Be familiar with and maintain Protecting the Mission compliance.
Attend staff meetings and trainings as required; including but not limited to Divisional/Territorial Social Services Conferences, Protecting the Mission – child safety training, and The Salvation Army fleet safety training.
Assist with seasonal efforts, which may include but are not limited to, Christmas Food and Toy Preparations/Distribution.
Adherence to employee dress codes while working.
Operate larger equipment such as a pallet jack, forklift, and large box truck.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Social Services / Corps Officers.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.
Must submit to and pass a background check.
Must complete Protecting the Mission – child safety training.
Must complete and pass ServSafe Food Safety Certification.
Must possess or be able to obtain forklift operation certification.
Must possess a valid Montana Driver’s License and be a minimum of 21 years old.
Must complete and pass Salvation Army Driver’s Safety Course and Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) Check.

Able to operate a 20’ Box Truck.
Able to operate a forklift.
Ability to use (or learn) basic office machines/equipment.
Ability to use (or learn) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) and Outlook.
Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, run, jump, and twist on an intermittent and sometimes continuous basis. Maintain the ability to grasp, push, pull objects such boxes, water hoses, lawn mowers, and hand trucks, reach overhead, and carry janitorial/maintenance supplies. Maintain the ability to operate janitorial/landscaping/warehouse equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Health Insurance: Low bi-weekly premiums for employee-only coverage, Kaiser HMO for those residing in a Kaiser service area, Anthem EPO/PPO is available for those residing outside a Kaiser service area. Life and Voluntary Options. An employer-paid life insurance policy covers employees. Voluntary supplemental life, short-term and long-term disability plans are available.
Retirement Plans: Employer-funded Money Purchase Pension Plan (Defined Contribution Plan) 50% vested at five years eligible service time. Plus, an employee-funded voluntary 403(b) option.
Parental Leave: The benefit is 40 hours of Paid Leave for qualifying events.
Sick Leave: 12 days of Sick Leave annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after three months’ service time.
Paid Vacation:
Two weeks annually, accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions.
Four weeks annually, accruing from day one, for exempt positions.
Accrued vacation is eligible for use after six months’ service time.
Paid Holidays: 13 designated holidays 1 floating holiday per year
