Primary Responsibilities
HDR Engineering is in search of an experienced Irrigation Engineer to join our Montana team and be an integral part of our growing irrigation practice.
With a focus on water resources planning, hydrology/hydraulics, drainage, flood control design, and irrigation, the Water Resources Engineer will be responsible for leading the production of project deliverables from the planning stages and initial design calculations to the final reporting and development of the plans and specs. Focused on large civil works projects such as detention facilities, irrigation pumping and conveyance facilities (including diversion and control structures), reservoirs, and other hydraulic structures, the engineer will be an integral part of our growing practice within Montana and the region.
- MS degree
- A minimum of 3 years experience in water resources engineering projects
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent field
- Previous experience in water resources engineering projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GEO-RAS, storm drain system analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
