Job Description
Configuration Technician
M-F 7:30am-4:00pm (with occasional Saturdays required at the end of the month)
$20.00/hour
• Install and configure various operating systems across a wide range of hardware.
• Recognize RAID configurations through a Terminal.
• Flash custom BIOS and firmware into hardware.
• Install software images through internal PXE environment.
• Differentiate hardware problems from software problems.
• Troubleshoot computer hardware issues, including reseating CPUs, memory, and inspecting cable connections.
• Communicate production problems with Production, Engineering, and Sales departments.
• Assemble computer hardware from build documentation.
• Identify and quarantine defective hardware.
• Perform visual inspection on systems and accessory boxes.
• Work extended hours as needed during peak times.
• Work as an assembly technician or fulfill other roles and projects as needed.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Libertyville, Illinois.
Work Environment
The company builds different types of computers and servers for a variety of clients. The entire facility is temperature controlled, very organized, and extremely clean. The culture is awesome; employees can wear whatever they like and use headphones during their shifts. There is a huge cafeteria with free healthy snacks and drinks, a Foosball table, and other activities for breaks. A large TV is also available for employees to watch during breaks.
