Position: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Crown Point Truck & Trailer Repair Center, Morton Grove, IL

Crown Point Truck & Trailer Repair Center, located in Morton Grove, IL,
is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team
full-time. We are a leading service center specializing in truck and
trailer repair, and we need an experienced engineer to help drive our
innovative projects forward.

Job Responsibilities:

– Programming and operating plasma CNC machines for cutting, shaping,
and modifying metal parts used in truck and trailer repairs.

– Designing, analyzing, and testing mechanical components and systems
to meet quality and safety standards.

– Creating detailed schematics and CAD models for parts and systems.

– Collaborating with the repair team to provide engineering support in
troubleshooting and solving complex mechanical issues.

– Conducting quality control checks to ensure all work meets company
and industry standards.

– Managing the maintenance and calibration of CNC machines and other
tools.

– Staying up to date with the latest advancements in CNC machining and
mechanical engineering technologies.

Job Requirements:

– Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or Motor Vehicle
Construction Technology.

– Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with CNC machines,
particularly plasma CNC machines.

– Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CNC
programming.

– Strong understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing processes,
and materials.

– Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced,
team-oriented environment.

– Familiarity with industry safety standards and protocols.

Salary & Benefits:

– $88,000/year starting salary.
