Hendrickson is searching for a Project Engineer to join our Global
Engineering team. Your work will contribute to the success of our
projects, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a
talented group of engineers. This role is part of the Truck Commercial
Vehicle Systems division in Woodridge, IL.

This individual will:

– Manage all technical aspects of multiple and/or major projects
utilizing the Product Planning and Development Procedure.
– Designs, validates, provides test reports and sign-off documents,
and ensures production readiness.
– Coordinates with CAD, FEA and laboratory personnel and interfaces
with other departments in support of the above.
– Coordinates the technical design and test aspects on projects with
suppliers and customers.
– Provides continuous improvement through employee development,
process improvement and elimination of waste.
– Helps to assure safety in the lab and office.

Qualifications – External

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

– Bachelor of Science degree in technical discipline required.
– BSME/BSAgE/BS preferred.

– 4 years experience in vehicle structural design (preferable heavy
or medium duty truck) with exposure to dynamic structural analysis,
finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and product design.
– Demonstrated product innovation.
– Project management experience preferred.
– Demonstrated ability to meet product development deadlines.

Physical Demands of this role include:

– Frequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods of
time.
– Occasional standing and walking on concrete.
– Occasional climbing stairs and fixed/vertical ladders.
– Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs.
– Ability to push/pull carts (minimal 25lbs) and parts (minimal
60lbs).
– Ability to drive as required.
– Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
