This posting is for a Waubonsee Works Paid Work Experience at a partner
company. Waubonsee Works Paid Work Experiences (PWEs) are funded by the
Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, in conjunction with the Kane
County Office of Community Reinvestment. All applicants must be
certified Waubonsee Works participants to be considered for these
positions.

Waubonsee Works PWEs are meant to provide Waubonsee Works participants
relevant industry work experiences that will increase their
employability, improve their soft skills, and allow them to explore the
career path they are most interested in.

Current off-site job placements include:

Keiths Car Care in Oswego, IL

Local Business in Montgomery, IL

Local Manufacturers in and around Aurora, IL

Other partner companies in the WIOA service provider network

Waubonsee Works students must apply to this post to be considered for a
PWE. Paid Work Experiences last 12 weeks, with a maximum of 20 hours per
week, and pay between $13 and $16 per hour. Participating companies
and departments will work around students schedules; however,
participants are expected to arrive on time and appropriately attired
for each scheduled shift of their PWE. Financial assistance is available
to help cover the costs of attire and transportation.

Participants will be required to assist in Waubonsee Works events and
workshops as directed by their Advisors and are expected to maintain
passing grades in their classes during the experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a participant of the Waubonsee Works Program

Ability to follow directions and pay close attention to details

Good oral and written communication skills

Basic computer skills required
