What would I be doing?

The Host Cashier will greets each guest as they enter the restaurant courteously and enthusiastically. Seats or directs the guest in an efficient manner. Must be responsible for creating a positive first and last impression.

Responsibilities

The Host Cashier will greet and seat guests pleasantly, quickly, and efficiently.

Insure proper service to each guest after they are sat.

The Host Cashier will assist other team members in job functions when appropriate.

Communicate problems/situations to management or relief personnel.

The Host Cashier will be able to answer the phone properly and take reservations when appropriate.

Must have knowledge of all service job responsibilities: Server, Busser, and Food Runner.

The Host Cashier must be knowledgeable about Boyd Gaming and all it has to offer.

Must be aware of business needs, station assignments and breaks

The Host Cashier must be aware of all activity in the dining room (i.e., service to guests, standards being used, unbussed tables, executives in to dine, etc.).

Knowledge of safety procedures to insure employee’s safety.

The Host Cashier will assist in bussing tables.

Polish Silverware

The Host Cashier will remove debris (i.e., napkins, straw wrappers, and other materials) from the floor as required or necessary.

Never seat guests at a table that is not clean.

The Host Cashier will monitor door at all times to insure prompt seating of guests.

Adhere to all prescribed Service Standards and Service Sequence.

The Host Cashier will always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive professional image to Boyd Gaming

Must be able to handle “guest recovery” situations.

Have fun.

What are we looking for?

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

Able to successfully complete all require training classes.

Must have an outgoing personality.

Ability to stand for long periods of time without leaning.

Greet and thank all guests with a warm sincere greeting.

Utilize seating charts as instructed by management.

One (1) year of hosting experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions

Must successfully pass background check

Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening

Must be 16 years of age

CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUIREMENT

Delivers superior internal and external guest service in Boyd Style.
