Landscape Laborer

M and W Gardens Inc. (d/b/a Baxter Gardens West) has 10 openings for Landscape Laborer in St. Charles, MO and surrounding counties, full-time, temporary position, from 04/01/2025 – 12/31/2025. Work location: 1075 Mueller Rd., OFallon, MO, and multiple worksites within the following surrounding counties: St. Charles County, MO, St. Louis County, MO, Lincoln County, MO, and Warren County, MO. Daily transportation to and from the worksite to a centralized designated pick-up place will be offered to workers at no charge. This use of transportation is voluntary. Employer provides incidental transport between job sites. The Landscape Laborers will perform the following tasks on a daily basis: Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears or pruners. Plant grass, shrubs or trees, and apply mulch for protection. Install drainage systems. Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment, including lawnmower (walk behind and rider), backpack blower, wheel barrel, broom, rake, shovel, spade. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks which may include a combination of the following: sod laying, planting, watering, digging, aerating, seedings, weeding, mulching and raking. Must be able to perform physical activities such as: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 120lbs (possible 2-person). These duties are consistent with those detailed in the USDOL Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code for Landscaping and Groundskeeping Workers. Note that tree maintenance is performed only from ground level or from a 10 step ladder, max height. Must be willing to work weekends when necessary, depending on weather. OT may be available but is not guaranteed.Employment is 40 hours per week, shifts will generally be 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. No education or experience required. Wage: $19.30 hour. OT wage: $28.95 hour. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.
