A leader in structural steel solutions is looking to add a professional structural engineer to their team. This is a direct hire opportunity located in Saint Joseph MO. This person must have their PE license. The ideal candidate will have experience in pre-engineered metal buildings and will be able to provide well utilized designs of members and connections for detailing and manufacturing that meet the customers requirements.

This role offers relocation assistance.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering

Professional Engineering license

6 years of engineering experience

Solid knowledge of building codes and specifications

Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications

2 years of pre-engineered building (PEB) experience

Provides well utilized designs of members and connections for Detailing and Manufacturing that meet customers requirements.

Assures buildings structural integrity and safety

Develops own advanced product and procedure knowledge and improves technical knowledge

Focuses on achieving department objective and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high performance work team

Assures customer design service needs are met by meeting design schedules

Collaborates with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help create solutions to move forward in a cost effective and efficient manner

Provides technical assistance to customers on specific projects as well as to new entry level Designers

Develops structural quotes
