job summary:
An E-Learning company is looking for Associate Test Developers to join their team. This person can sit fully remote for this on-going contract (6 months initially then a 6-month extension IF performing as needed for the group). They will work up to 40 hours a week on a typical 9:00-5:00 CST schedule with some room for flexibility. This person will need to have availability to semi-regularly work for 2-3 hours on a night or a weekend with at least 24 hours notice always provided. The Associate Test Developers will partner with Test Developers to create and maintain test assessment items/questions for students in the healthcare industry. There will be proofreading involved so strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. They will support the test development team by entering data into databases, leading item review meetings, working with content experts, building and beta testing assessments in a production environment, and ultimately pushing the items through the test development process. They will have to complete a proofreading test and an instructional exercise before interviewing. This is not a “creative” role, but it is a problem-solving role that requires critical thinking.
Use multiple internal databases to create and maintain assessments (high stakes, low stakes, and certification) to predetermined specifications while meeting established deadlines and coordinating with cross-functional teams, including psychometrics, content experts, media development, and project management.
Coordinate and lead Item Review meetings with content experts while transcribing the input of content experts, navigating internal databases, ensuring that everyone stays on task, and accounting for all test requirements.
Responsible for documenting assembly tasks in detail, building tests, performing testing in a production environment, and coordinating to ensure that all issues are resolved before final product release.
Review/edit products to ensure consistency with company standards.
Understand the various steps within the test development process, why they are performed, and when they should be modified. Use this knowledge to contribute to process modification and/or the resolution of customer support inquiries.
Coordinate with IT teams to create, test, and release new functionality, prevent incidents, and troubleshoot issues.
Prepare pretest items and perform pretest rotations as needed to maintain bank health.
MUST HAVE:
Must be tech savvy and preferably have recent experience with Excel
Must be detail-oriented and feel comfortable updating large amounts of data in various databases
Professional experience working with a team/collaboration
Initiative and accountability to work independently
strong communication skills- verbal and written – will be running review meetings with various teams and outside content experts
