Sous Chef/Short Order Cook

Silver Lake Family Restaurant in Warsaw, NY is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join their kitchen team.

Responsibilities:

-Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
-Resolve customer problems and concerns personally.
-Assist fellow kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
-Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations.
-Help develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
-Manage the kitchen team in the Managers absence.
-Prepare, cook for and oversee banquet services.

Requirements:

-A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
-Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, Health regulations and best practices.
-Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities.
-Excellent communication, computer and interpersonal skills.

This is a Full-time opportunity with a wage of $20-$25/hour, depending on skills/experience.
