Job Description

Primary Purpose:
Ensures that Process Control Systems (PCS) are installed in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Principal Duties:
Assists with insuring smooth and efficient day to day operation of hump yards on NS.
Assists in attaining proper operation of process control systems at all PCS yard locations on Norfolk Southern.
Manages programs for replacement of Process Control Systems, and implementing PCS upgrades at selected locations as replacement projects are approved in capital budgets.
Assists in troubleshooting and repair of yard hardware and software problems that field forces require.
Interfaces with vendors and contractors, as required, to find solutions to problems to insure safe and reliable yard operations.

Job Related Experience:
Minimum Level: 3-5 years Preferred Level: 6-10 years

Education:
Preferred Level: Associates Degree (AS)
