Summary:

Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies through frequent use of tow motor and overhead crane.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1. Responsible for movement of material between departments, operations, and storage areas.
2. Operates tow motor and responsible for handling and moving up to 40,000 pounds with overhead crane.
3. Maintains traceability of physical components.
4. Operates company vehicles for small and medium size deliveries and pick-up.  
5. Performs shipping and logistics duties as assigned.
6. Performs tasks assigned by Logistics and Inventory Control Group Leader; ensures materials are received in ERP system from proper vendors and delivered to inventory, ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules.
7. Assists other departments, as needed.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

•Forklift Operation Certification for Class IV & V Sit Down Counter balanced and Class III Pallet Trucks

•Overhead Crane Safety Certification

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
