Senior Advanced Engineering Technician

Cannonsburg, PA

Contract Position

This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:

– Summary: Lead and mentor junior technicians in designing, testing, and fabricating electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.
– Interpret complex engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics for system interfaces.
– Perform advanced troubleshooting at the system and component levels.
– Execute testing, checkout, and troubleshooting based on schematics, layouts, and plans.
– Build, calibrate, adjust, install, and maintain equipment, components, and systems.

Qualifications:

– Education: Associates degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
– Clearance: Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
– Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering support roles.
– Technical Expertise:
– Proficient in understanding and interpreting complex specifications, standards, and engineering requirements.
– Skilled in troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining advanced equipment and systems.
