Correctional Parole Officer (PO2)

Centre County Government

– Coordinates parole releases and commitment of inmates from the Court to the Correctional Facility.
– Supervises first-time DUI offenders.
– Coordinates earned time credit programs.
– Reviews, analyzes, and recommends to the Court inmates requests.
– Maintains files on all programs and inmates activities.
– Prepares and submits monthly reports to Courts and the Director of Probation.
– Coordinates and processes all paychecks for inmates on work-release program.
– Prepares pre-sentence investigations for the Court.
– Coordinates and completes the interstate compact agreement for transfer cases.
– Is Court Reporting Network certified and completes CRNs weekly as requested.
– Attends Quarterly meeting with the Court and Correctional Facility staff.
– Checks parole plans and approves said plan.
– Attends meetings, seminars, and in-service trainings as required.
– Serves on committees and task forces as needed including re-entry coalition
– Performs other job-related duties as required.
– Must have proficient knowledge of the Interstate Compact agreement law.
