SUBJECT: JOB OPENING – BAKERY DISTRIBUTION OPERATION
We have the following job available in the Distribution Department:
JOB TITLE:3rd ShiftBakery Distribution Helper/Basket Stacker

BASE RATE/HOUR: $26.60
HOURS: Normally start – 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. (May be scheduled to work other shifts as assigned and hours may vary with shipping schedule) Must be able to work overtime. Start and end times may be adjusted based on business needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Unload truck and store product on the floor, manually unload stacks of full baskets from the trailer, pick Bakery orders (which requires the manual pick of baskets at vertical heights equivalent to 16 layers high).
Load trucks with Bakery orders and maintain a clean work environment.
The Distribution Helper must support all plant safety, quality, SAP, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. This support may include but is not limited to: serving in the role of 5S Leader, actively participating in all audits (i.e. Daily Sweep, Weekly Spot, etc.) and all aspects of team concepts, such as displaying a positive attitude, which are necessary to work collaboratively within a team environment. The person in this position must also perform other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor and/or manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant will be required to take and successfully pass a forklift operators test.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
THIS JOB WILL REQUIRE THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER TO PERFORM BASIC PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ON EQUIPMENT, AS WELL AS OTHER OPERATOR-DRIVEN RELIABILITY (ODR) DUTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CLEANING, INSPECTING, AND LUBRICATING AS ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR.
Candidate selection will be based on ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation (as demonstrated by a passing score on the Physical Capacity Screening). Although seniority is a primary consideration for awarding regular hourly (i.e., non-Key Operator) positions, consideration will also be given to attendance record, safety record, disciplinary record, quality of work, peer relationships, job performance, previous work history and experience. The position will be awarded to the most senior qualified bidder who has successfully passed Physical Capacity Screening, if required for the position and if all other of the above criterion being considered are equal among candidates.

Education
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as e perience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
