DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Licensed Psychologist Manager within the Department of Corrections, your role will encompass the strategic planning, organization, and oversight of the institutions psychological services program. You will be tasked with coordinating this program alongside various other disciplines, as well as formulating and documenting new policies and procedures to enhance existing initiatives. Additionally, you will lead the Population Psychiatric Review Team and serve as a permanent member of the Clinical Review Team, which focuses on cases of suicide and attempted suicide. Your responsibilities will also include collaborating with psychiatric and medical personnel, as well as conducting psychological assessments and evaluations of inmates.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist; or
One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation or behavioral dysfunction.

Special Requirement:
This position requires the possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.

Other Requirements:
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
