Job Title: Junior Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

The Junior Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing the financial activities of an entire business unit. This role involves recording journal entry accruals, budgeting for capital projects, payroll costs, expenses, and other financial elements tied to the business unit. The Junior Financial Analyst will also perform variance analysis between actual and forecasted figures and conduct monthly forecasts to update the 5-year financial forecast.

Key Responsibilities:

Record journal entry accruals accurately and timely.

Prepare and manage budgets for capital projects, payroll costs, and other expenses.

Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts.

Perform monthly forecasting to update the 5-year financial forecast.

Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

Proficiency in creating pivot tables, SUMIFs, and VLOOKUPs in Excel.

OR

1 year of experience in budgeting and forecasting.

1 year of experience recording journal entries.

1 year of experience in variance analysis.

Proficiency with large-scale ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, SAGE, or NetSuite.
